About Us
During the Covid-19 shutdown in 2020, Kyomi watched a video that inspired her to begin making boba tea at home. Boba Tea, also known as bubble tea, originated in Taiwan in the 1980s and has become popular in the United States. After researching the ingredients and learning to make the tea, she had a dream to someday open her own boba spot. With a lot of work and assistance from her parents and family, Kyomi (now 12) is the proud owner and manager of Mizu's Boba Tea Spot. Kyomi is involved in every aspect of the business from planning and designing the space, creating recipes, taking orders, and even mopping the floors. The word Mizu is Japanese for "blue" and is the inspiration for the business name after the family pet Mizu Dori Nija Warrior.
